Enemies

Dwight Tharp

Harvey Cunningham is the main antagonist of the first two Origami Yoda books. His most prominent roles are in Origami Yoda and Darth Paper Strikes Back and bullies Dwight. He is skinny and tall. He is (or speculated, was) also Tommy's and Kellen's "explanation" for all of Yoda's miracles. He tends to call Origami Yoda paperwad Yoda. When Dwight crumples Yoda, Harvey makes one of his own, but loses to Origami Yoda in a duel. He sits on the stage during the Fun Nights and does not take part in the dances or basketball. He also created Darth Paper. It is also unknown what happened to his Origami Yoda because it was never mentioned since the first book. Harvey states that he has a stepdad. who helped fold the Van Jahnke Yoda.

Darth Paper Strikes Back Edit

In 7th grade Harvey makes Darth Paper and causes problems at school. He tries to get Dwight sent to CREF but changes his mind and helps Dwight not get suspended. His Darth Paper also became Origami Anakin again and it was declared that Harvey was no longer going to the dark side.

The Secret of The Fortune Wookiee Edit

In The Secret of the Fortune Wookiee, he was in Grade 7 and had a smaller role. He promised to make an Origami General Grievous for Mrs. Calhoun which he gave to her with no cuts. He didn't believe in the Fortune Wookiee or Han Foldo. When the Fortune Wookiee gave its ninth peice of advice he proved that it was fake and ripped it into two pieces. Harvey writes a page with his evidence that the Fortune Wookie and Han Foldo were fake.  When Tommy wrote a page stating that Sara made the non-Force-using Fortune Wookiee (and Han Foldo), Harvey wrote a page called "I Was Right" bragging that he was right about the Fortune Wookiee not being real. The chapter consists of Harvey saying, "I was right!" exactly fifty times.

Because he is easier to draw, Kellen depicted him using Ben's Darth Paper. This was fixed in Jabba the Puppett.

Art2-D2's Guide to Folding and Doodling Edit

And in Art2-D2's Guide to Folding and Doodling, Harvey is (sort-of) taught how to become a Jedi Doodler (while being constantly humiliated by Kellen along the way) examples are showing Harvey in underwear.

The Surprise Attack of Jabba the Puppett Edit

In The Surprise Attack of Jabba the Puppett: An Origami Yoda BookHarvey is a member of the Origami Rebel Alliance. His origami puppet is Origami Anakin ("Anakin Skyfolder"). He hates FunTime and tries to help stop it. In this book, Harvey actually talks to Origami Yoda, hoping to rebel against doing sit-ups in gym class. However, he fails to get any help.

Emperor Pickletine Rides the Bus Edit

In Emperor Pickletine it is revealed that he has a crush Sara Bolt. This was hinted at earlier on in the series, when Harvey makes a comment saying someone once did a public display of affection with the person he liked. He is the wielder of Emperor Pickletine who tries to makes the trip miserable.

Personality Edit

One of Harvey’s most prominent traits is his pettiness. He will lose his cool over several insignificant details, embarrassing Tommy and the rest of the group. He also shows an intense distrust towards anything supernatural, and will always try to find a scientific explanation. Harvey is also known to be very annoying, and constantly puts others down.

Trivia Edit

- Tom Angleberger has regretfully revealed that he was in fact very similar to Harvey as a kid as well as Dwight.
